How to set up wireless network connection for ASUS S400CA series in Windows 7 as follows:

ASUS S400E3217CA

1. Before setting up a wireless network connection, please confirm the following items:

  (1) Broadband Internet connection and modem for high-speed connection to the Internet. Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and cable are the two most common broadband connections. Information about your broadband connection can be obtained by contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

 (2) Wireless routers can transmit information between the network and the Internet. When using a wireless router, your computer connects to the network through wireless signals rather than physical wires. It is recommended to use a wireless router that supports 802.11g or 802.11n. You can refer to the user manual of the wireless router to set up the Internet and wireless (including network name SSID, security type, network security key, etc.)

 (3) Wireless network adapter. ASUS notebook computers with built-in wireless network adapters can choose to turn on the wireless network function through the wireless network switch and (FN) + (F2) on the keyboard.

2. Connect to an existing network

 (1) Right-click the network icon in the notification area to open the connection to the network.

(2) In the network list, click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

(3) Enter the security key.

3. Manage Wireless Networks

The networks you have connected to in the past will be stored in Manage Wireless Networks. Click the network icon in the notification area, and then click Open the Network and Sharing Center and click Manage Wireless Networks to view your saved wireless networks. You can drag up or down here to change the order in which computers connect to the network or right-click the network and click on the content to modify related settings (such as security type, network security key, etc.).
