In Windows Xp, if you often need to switch keyboard layouts or switch specific language settings (such as currency, date or time format), the language bar is an additional function of the taskbar. By default, it is automatically displayed in case of multiple language keyboard combination settings. The language bar can also be turned off. After it is turned off, it needs to be manually re-enabled to display the language bar.
