What is a Surface tablet? What is Microsoft's Surface tablet?

Surface tablets are available in two versions

< p> One is running Windows RT system, equipped with ARM processor (similar to most mobile phones and tablets), 9.3 mm (a little thinner than iPad), 676g (a little heavier than iPad), equipped with a 10.6-inch ClearType high-definition display, resolution The resolution is 1366×768, and there are 32 or 64GB storage options.

The other version runs Windows 8 Pro system, equipped with Core i5 x86 processor, 13.5 mm, 903g, 10.6-inch ClearType HD display, resolution 1920 x 1080, USB 3.0 interface, and some other ultrabook configurations, with 64 or 128GB storage to choose from.

It can be a tablet or a PC

Surface has all the standards of a tablet, such as built-in front and rear cameras, SD card slot, and full-size USB interface. Of course, there is also a neat exterior design: magnesium alloy shell, second-generation Corning Glass (Gorilla Glass), built-in stand, etc. Microsoft also claims that Surface uses a 2x2 MIMO antenna, which has the best Wi-Fi reception quality among tablets.

The ClearType HD display seems to be specifically designed for Apple's Retina screen, although Microsoft's ppi (number of pixels per inch) is only 208, which is inferior to Apple's 264 ppi.

Running Windows 8

SurFace is specially designed for Windows 8: it supports semantic zoom and stylus, and provides a perfect flat frame for the Metro interface. Windows RT is not compatible with software under the x86 architecture. Only the Pro version can run the standard Windows desktop, which means it can run software such as Office and Photoshop like a PC. The RT version can only run Metro's "applications". I believe that the Pro version will be a perfect fusion of the two processing interfaces.

Coat accessories are novel and practical

Surface comes with a magnetic cover, just like the iPad leather case, which also comes in various colors. But the Surface jacket still has a full keyboard and multi-touch trackpad, which is a design that Microsoft is proud of. Keyboards of different colors and different ways of using it can make the Surface look endlessly interesting without making people feel like it's just another black board.

There is no price mentioned yet. Maybe the RT version is the price of an ordinary tablet, while the Pro version may be the same as the Apple MacBook Air. Prices are comparable. At present, it is only known that the RT version will be launched together with Windows 8, and the Pro version will be launched in the next 90 days.
